Simple & Advanced Modes
Soracom Query offers two usage modes, Simple and Advanced, to match your expertise and workflow.
Simple Mode
The Simple Mode allows you to ask questions about your fleet and its data in natural language or to select from preset options to quickly get insights. Results can be viewed as charts, tables, or text. Soracom Query Studio opens in Simple Mode.

In Simple Mode, the SQL Assistant always runs in Agent Mode, which means it runs queries on your behalf to answer your question. A single question may execute several queries, each of which counts toward your plan. The Agent Mode toggle and the other assistant settings are in Advanced Mode. See Agent Mode for details.
Advanced Mode
The Advanced Mode provides an editor for writing and running custom SQL queries, as well as a SQL Assistant to help generate SQL queries from a natural language prompt. You can also save, favorite, and reuse past queries.

Advanced Mode also provides the SQL Assistant's settings: an Agent Mode toggle, which is off by default, and an Advanced Settings section containing the reasoning level. See SQL Assistant for details, including how its queries count toward your plan.
Reloading Soracom Query Studio returns you to Simple Mode. Select Advanced again to return to Advanced Mode.
Note that Soracom Support is unable to provide assistance regarding SQL queries, such as creating SQL query samples, reviewing or testing SQL queries generated by the SQL Assistant, or providing prompts for SQL query generation.
